Job Description

Position Name: Travel RN Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Sioux City IA 51104

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Fulltime Travel Contract Temporary

Contract Length:13 weeksAccepting both local and travel Candidates

Pay Rate: Local$2052 to Travel$2340

Unit: Med Surg Tele

Shift: 12 Hours; Nights 7p7.30a

Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed 3 shifts per week every other weekend holiday rotation as required

Position Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse: 2 years Required
  • Med Surg/Tele or Cardiac/Tele Nursing experience: Recent/Current 2 years Required
  • Epic experience Preferred
  • Prior Travel Nursing experience Highly preferred

Education License and Certification Requirements:

  • ASN or an equivalent Required
  • BSN or an equivalent Highly preferred
  • RN License for State of IA or Compact Required
  • BLS and ACLS Certifications from AHA Required
  • NIHSS Certification Required (Can be obtained upon offer)

Job Description:

  • Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in the assigned units (MS Tele)
  • Provides safe quality care for patients/residents according to individualized care plan that supports patient/resident outcomes.
  • Regularly assesses patients/clients needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice.
  • Provides direct resident care including medication administration treatments call lights assisting with transfers responding to alarms etc.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members utilizing current information to improve patient care.
  • Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately completely and in a timely manner.
  • Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
