Job Description
The registered nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegation to patient care technicians in providing care and comfort to the residents. Knowledge and compliance with all local state and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained. This position has basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(30%)* Regularly assesses patients/clients needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physicianauthorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice.
(30%)* Provides direct resident care including medication administration treatments call lights assisting with transfers responding to alarms etc.
(20%)* Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members utilizing current information to improve patient care.
(10%)* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physicianordered care accurately completely and in a timely manner.
(10%)* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
Requirement description : Travelers for this position need to be okay floating between 2 MyMichigan hospitals in Midland and in Saginaw (32 miles apart.) The location being applied for will be the main assigned site but may be asked to float to the other hospital for critical staffing support. The intention from MyMichigan is that they will not float at all.
- 2 years of Med Surg Experience Required
- Oncology Experience Required
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) Required
- Travel Experience Highly Preferred
- Epic Experience Preferred
- Work History
- Skills Checklist current to 1 year pertinent to the specialty
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms taken within the last two years
- Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates 50mile radius restriction)
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
- Michigan
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Must be active!
Weekend Requirements : Every Other Weekend
On Call Requirements : No Call
