Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data efficiently
- Develop and maintain database stored procedures views and functions
- Participate in database design and architecture decisions
- Identify and troubleshoot SQL query performance issues
- Work collaboratively with the development team to integrate database components into software applications
- Implement data validation and quality assurance processes
- Conduct database testing and performance tuning
- Assist with data migration transformation and integration processes
- Support the implementation of security and data protection measures
- Document database processes procedures and best practices
- Stay uptodate with industry best practices and emerging technologies in SQL development
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into efficient database solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of database development processes and standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Proven proficiency in SQL and MySQL database management
- Understanding of database design principles and normalization
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries
- Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
- Experience with version control systems such as Git is a plus
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile practices and principles
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Certification in MySQL or related technologies is an advantage
