Job Description
Great opportunity for Directors and Managers with experience in the print/packaging industry! Jettison is representing a company that is looking to immediately hire an experienced and qualified Director of Manufacturing Operations for their Monroe location. Overview
Provide oversight guidance and leadership to the Production Management team to assure the ontime of daily schedules maintain the strictest quality requirements while meeting and improving budgeted costs. Your leadership skills and proven handson experience in the Print Industry are a must.
Familiarity with all the Print Production manufacturing disciplines and expert level knowledge of one or more of the following is required PrePress Press Finishing Bindery Assembly Mailing and Shipping. You will report to the VP Manufacturing in OH.
Shift availability Day shift 6am 4pm
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daytoday operations of the PrePress Sheetfed Lithography Digital Printing Finishing Bindery Assembly Mailing Buyout and Shipping departments.
- Collaborate with Scheduling to define concise daily Production Schedules for each department that support the overall Schedule Commitments for the plant.
- Participate in creating Training and Development programs and lead their implementations
- Provide effective operational and support plans for your employees by providing clear objectives tools and resources needed to succeed and continual review for feedback.
- Implement Continuous Improvement through relentless focus on corrective preventive actions using process improvements KPI s TPM s (Total Productive Manufacturing) and improved quality systems and building this philosophy throughout the organization.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive Equipment Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Champion and participate in all company Safety and LEAN programs.
- Improve safety recordable rate through heightened awareness safety audits and improvements in housekeeping.
- Improve the customer experience by assuring product quality reducing costs and exceeding customer expectations.
- Work Closely with Project Management and Sales on job updates and scheduling.
- Must participate with leadership in developing and tracking KPIs for all areas of your responsibility
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of progressive pertinent experience with progressive responsibility managing staff and resources.
- B.S. Degree in Print Management preferred or equivalent business experience and training.
- Must have broad knowledge of the Commercial Printing Bindery and Finishing.
- Experience with a Print Industry ERP system Pace is a plus.
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite.
- Exposure to ISO certification a plus.
