Overview:
The Asbestos Litigation Intake Attorney will be the first point of contact for potential clients affected by asbestos exposure. You will play a crucial role in evaluating cases gathering pertinent information and determining the eligibility of claims. This position is ideal for an attorney who is empathetic detailoriented and eager to make a meaningful impact on the lives of clients seeking justice. This position requires drafting and reviewing complaints in various jurisdictions requiring strong legal writing organizational skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial consultations with potential clients to evaluate their legal needs and determine case viability.
- Review and analyze medical records employment history and other relevant documentation to assess the merits of asbestos exposure claims. Previous experience with identifying asbestos defendants is preferred.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with potential clients to explain the legal process and manage their expectations.
- Collaborate with the litigation team to ensure that all relevant information is accurately documented and transferred for case development.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of asbestosrelated laws and regulations to provide informed advice to potential clients.
- Assist in developing and implementing intake procedures and strategies to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Significant legal writing including drafting and reviewing complaints in jurisdictions nationwide.
- Must be willing to travel nationwide on short notice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law.
- Experience in asbestos litigation or related personal injury/consumer protection fields is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex legal information clearly and empathetically.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in legal research and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of law.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
