Job Description
Overview:
The Video Editor plays a crucial role in the creation of compelling visual content that aligns with the organizations objectives. They are responsible for assembling editing and enhancing raw footage into polished videos that captivate and engage the audience. This role requires a keen eye for detail creativity and expertise in video editing software to deliver highquality content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and objectives
- Assemble raw footage into a polished final product ensuring logical sequencing and smooth running
- Edit videos to include smooth transitions text overlays and sound enhancements
- Ensure all video content aligns with the brands guidelines and messaging
- Provide creative input for the development of video concepts and storyboards
- Conduct quality checks on final edits to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Manage and organize the video library for easy access and retrieval
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing and production
- Offer technical expertise and guidance on videorelated projects
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely delivery of video projects
- Maintain a high level of proficiency with video editing software and tools
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for video content
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand their vision and preferences
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the visual storytelling through video content
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Film Media Communication or related field
- Demonstrated professional experience as a video editor or in a similar role
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical video editing skills
- Ability to understand and align video content with branding and marketing objectives
- Excellent understanding of video formats codecs and file delivery
- Solid grasp of visual storytelling and effective communication through video
- Good understanding of color grading and audio synchronization in video editing
- Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities within a team setting
- Attention to detail and a critical eye for quality and consistency in video content
- Ability to adapt to feedback and make necessary adjustments to video edits
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus
- Understanding of copyright and licensing laws related to video content
