A professionally managed family business established in 1940s engaged in Import and Marketing petrochemicals & polymers specialty chemicals bulk chemicals raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry and components for the electrical industry as well as telecom products.


Position: Import Logistics Executive
Location: Colaba Mumbai
We are looking for a young dynamic detail oriented individual for the position of IMPORT LOGISTICS EXECUTIVE Practical experience with an indepth knowledge in the field of shipping logistics and incoterms will be an added advantage. Candidate must possess fair knowledge of the below skills and experience in practical implementation of the same in their previous roles.
Skills required
  • Understanding of the Contract terms and different payment terms.
  • Should be able to reconcile the Purchase Orders of clients with the Proforma Invoices of overseas and other shipping documents from Principals along with the Sales Indent.
  • Verify the Letter of Credit draft generated by clients and highlight the clauses of modification after due approval from overseas Principals.
  • Differentiate the Letter of Credit conditions in case of different payment terms like CIF FOB and C&F.
  • Checking the value of Letter of Credit whether established for the full contract value or partial quantity.
  • Detailed checking of the value quantities in the Letter of Credit with the final contract.
  • Match the Invoice value with the Letter of Credit. Also the Product Description in the Invoice should match with the one mentioned in the Letter of Credit.
  • Scrutinizing the different points mentioned in the Bill of Lading like Consignee Notify Party Product Description (as mentioned in the Invoice) details of the Local Shipping Agent Provision of free detention time and Mandatory details like GST IEC Code etc.
  • Ability to differentiate the issuance of Certificate of Origin of the Product especially for availing of FTA from specific countries.
  • Valuation of the Insurance Policy.
  • Rigorous follow up with clients for Letter of Credit establishment and with overseas Principals for expediting the shipments.

Office Timings:
  • 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM /10.00 AM to 6.00 PM
  • Monday to Friday . First and Third Saturday of the month working. Second and Fourth Saturday holiday
