Overview:
The Ethics and Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization operates within legal and ethical guidelines. They are responsible for developing and implementing compliance programs conducting investigations and providing guidance on ethical issues. The role is crucial in maintaining the organizations integrity and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop edit and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Provide training on ethics and compliance matters to employees as needed.
- Investigate and address compliance violations and ethical concerns as needed.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and ensure organizational compliance.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with data protection regulations.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management.
- Contribute to the development of a strong ethical culture within the organization.
- Communicate and Collaborate with external auditors.
- Work with credentialing medical insurance departments to process credentialing on behalf of providers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Law or related field.
- 3 years of experience in compliance ethics or related field.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Certification in ethics and compliance (e.g. CCEP) is preferred.
- Experience in conducting investigations and resolving compliance issues.
- Ability to develop and deliver compliance training programs.
- Proficiency in MS Office and compliance software.
- Strong ability to multitask and stay organized.
