Registered Nurse-Cath Lab

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients conditions before procedures
• Monitor patients vital signs during procedures
• Administer medications as ordered by the cardiologist
• Assist in patient positioning and preparation for procedures
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards in the Cath Lab
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards
• Document patient information accurately and promptly
• Assist in the maintenance and stocking of Cath Lab supplies
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
• Support research activities and data collection as required
• Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as needed
• Ensure infection control and environmental safety in the Cath Lab

Required Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferably in a cardiac care setting
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac medications and interventions
• Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
• Detailoriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patientcentered care
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
• Willingness to work flexible hours including oncall and weekends
• Adherence to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice
• Continuous commitment to learning and professional growth
