Overview:
The CT Radiographer plays a crucial role in the healthcare organization by operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients internal organs and tissues. They are responsible for ensuring the highest quality and precision of CT scans to aid in accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans according to physician orders
- Position patients and operate CT equipment
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures
- Monitor and maintain CT equipment
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols
- Assist radiologists in image interpretation and analysis
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare team members
- Update knowledge of CT technology and advancements
- Provide exceptional patient care and communication
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Certification in CT imaging
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- Experience in CT imaging and patient care
- Strong understanding of radiographic positioning and techniques
- Familiarity with PACS and EMR systems
- Knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology
- Ability to work in a fastpaced highvolume environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
