Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Will be part of Train Electrical Integration department that performs all technical activities necessary for the
integration of Train Electrical systems for various types of Rail vehicles
Reports into Electrical Integration Domain Manager
Electromechanical Design:
oDevelop and design electromechanical systems and components for passenger rolling stock.
oEnsure integration of sheet metal parts and other electromechanical components.
Sheet Metal Design:
oDesign and develop sheet metal components for rolling stock ensuring they meet the required
specifications and standards.
Electrical Harness Design:
oDesign electrical harnesses for train systems including train level harnesses.
oDevelop detailed schematics and layouts for electrical wiring and components.
Cubicles and Cabinets:
oDesign electrical cubicles and cabinets for rolling stock ensuring optimal placement and functionality.
oDevelop cable ducts and underframe components.
Driver Panel and Ceiling Design:
oDesign and develop driver panels and ceiling components for metro units.
oEnsure designs are ergonomic and userfriendly.
Rolling Stock standards:
oEnsure all designs comply with rolling stock standards and requirements.
oUtilize experience in rolling stock to optimize designs for performance and safety.
Project Management:
oWork closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of design milestones.
oParticipate in design reviews and provide technical expertise.
Collaboration:
oCollaborate with crossfunctional teams including manufacturing procurement and quality assurance.
oInterface with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical support.
Academic Qualifications:
BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience required:
Rolling stock domain experience is essential. In some cases an equivalent experience in other industries /
domains can also be considerable.
Minimum duration of relevant experience required is:
o6 years for ElectroMechanical Engineer position and
