Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role to produce and assure the Quantity Surveying and Project Controls deliverables to the safe efficient and successful of a flagship offshore project in Trinidad y Tobago. The successful candidates will be based in the fabrication yards of Mexico and Trinidad during the construction and commissioning of the offshore platform.
Accountabilities:
Experience and Qualifications.
- Quantity Surveying/ Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Quantity Surveyor or Construction Planning.
- Minimum 10 years industry experience in sitebased QS/Project Controls positions.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost & schedule management within the construction industry focused on gas & oil projects.
- Knowledgeable of construction contracts regulations and industry standards.
- Fully versed with using P6 and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong skills in communications consensus building across diverse teams interpersonal and stakeholder engagement.
- Team player comfortable with handling high workloads and balancing multiple priorities and complex stakeholder interactions in a collaborative way.
Project Progress Monitoring.
- Responsible for tracking verifying and reporting of the physical progress of site constructionand CSU activities on behalf of Company.
- Evaluate progress on construction sites measure and assess the Value of Work Done (VOWD).
- Assess and manage variations to the contract including changes in scope specifications orunforeseen circumstances.
- Monitor Contractor performance and progress against approved schedule and budgetidentify slippages with root causes.
- Provide necessary support to Company Construction team in verifying claimed progress andforecasts.
- Liaise with central Project Services and CP team and provide all supporting documentation for processing claims/back charges.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure clear communication regardingcost and schedulerelated matters.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends technologies and best practicesin quantity surveying and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes andprocedures within the organization.
Forecasting.
- Monitor and report movements against the approved Schedule and Budget plus analyzingand forecasting Key Milestone dates and Costtogo.
- Provide inputs on the latest forecast dates and cost to Company planning engineers and costengineers for incorporation into the Company integrated schedule and budget reporting.
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project cost and schedule anddevelop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Provide inputs and contribute to Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (CSRA) if needed
Reporting.
- Develop and maintain schedule progress reports at site including progress trend analysisPerformance KPIs and Trend Based Forecasting.
- Report construction progress in terms of % complete systems and quantities installed.
- Develop and maintain cost reports at site including Commitments VOWD OP/LE EVM (ifapplicable) and Trend Based Forecasting Contingency Management performancetracking and KPIs.
- Provide timely and accurate progress data at the relevant cutoff period.
- Review reports issued by contractor and highlight any red flags jointly with Company management team.
- Review contractors project controls reports to ensure accuracy of progress updates.
HSSE.
- Demonstrate commitment to HSSE and show leadership that fosters appropriate behaviorswhile ensuring compliance with HSSE rules and policies
Dimensions:
- This role will be based in fabrication yards in Mexico and Trinidad reporting to the Construction Manager at site and the Project Planning Lead of Shell Project Services Team.
- Complex environment to deliver with multiple locations of both the owners’ team and EPC contractors with delivery through a matrix organization.
- Selfempowered and independent delivery with a high workload and balancing multiple priorities and complex stakeholder interactions.

Pay: $105045.00 $147065.00 per month
