Job Summary: The AShift Master Electrician is responsible for all electrical functions including troubleshooting repair and providing technical support throughout the facility. The role requires proficiency in various skills including electrical controls fluid power mechanical systems and manufacturing processes. The Master Electrician will work with electrical control panels transformers power distribution systems motors and motor control devices. Safety is a primary focus with responsibilities including adherence to personal safety and food safety regulations. This role is essential for maintaining the quality and legality of food production processes.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform troubleshooting maintenance and repair of electrical systems including AC/DC circuits industrial controls and automation systems.
- Provide technical support across all operational phases ensuring consistent reliable operation of equipment and systems.
- Work with control panels electrical power distribution systems transformers and motor control devices.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Manage electrical projects including writing project scopes adhering to NEC standards and maintaining Client standards.
- Collaborate with team members at all levels from hourly employees to upper management to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain food safety quality and legality standards.
- Work with PLC systems for control data collection troubleshooting and programming.
- Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance for documentation and tracking of maintenance activities.
Minimum Requirements: - Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in electronic technology or a related technical field is preferred or equivalent education and experience (e.g. skilled trades programs or military training).
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance and electrical controls.
- Certification: A valid electricians license as required by state or local regulations.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AC/DC circuits industrial electrical systems and lockout/tagout processes.
- Experience with PLC systems including configuration troubleshooting and programming.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and maintenance of mechanical systems such as bearings gears clutches belts and seals.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Computer Skills: Competent in Windowsbased software such as Outlook Excel and Word; proficiency in SAP Plant Maintenance.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members and management.
- ProblemSolving Skills: High level of critical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
Preferred Skills: - Experience with servo motor and drive technologies including AC/DC servo motors variable frequency drives and stepper systems.
- Basic knowledge of microcomputers and microprocessors and their interfacing with industrial systems.
- Experience in electrical project management including writing project scopes and adhering to NEC standards.
- Background in instrumentation and electronic devices like solidstate drives and transducers.
Travel: - 1 5 trips per year outside of the assigned location.
