Job Description
Must hold a current and valid state RN License
Must have a current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate
Must possess a current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate
Should have at least 1 year of previous Acute Care hospital experience
Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred
May be required to float to units of competency
Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation
Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice
Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
Maintains standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit
Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients
Communicates with the physician about changes in the patients clinical condition including cardiac monitoring results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
Must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
