The Payment Engineer (Postilion) will be responsible for developing maintaining and enhancing payment processing systems with a focus on Postilion platforms. This role involves designing program logic coding testing and debugging software to ensure smooth and efficient payment operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of payment processing Base24 programming and experience with HPE NonStop systems bringing expertise in financial services to ensure system improvements and integrations are successfully implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide application software development services for payment processing projects with a focus on Postilion systems.
- Design and develop program logic for new payment applications while analyzing and modifying existing application logic to enhance functionality.
- Write test debug document and maintain software applications to ensure optimal system performance.
- Integrate and maintain application components ensuring seamless functionality across various systems and services.
- Make recommendations for new code development or reuse of existing code to improve system efficiency and performance.
- Ensure successful implementation of system improvements and enhancements.
- Demonstrate an understanding of FIS systems and the broader financial services industry.
- Perform additional duties as needed ensuring a collaborative and effective work environment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in Base24 programming with expertise in Base24ATM Base24POS Base24EPS Base24UPS and Base24Classic.
- Handson experience in HPE NonStop development with knowledge of tools such as TAL/pTAL TACL Guardian SQL/MX Enscribe databases Pathway COBOL and SCOBOL.
- Experience working with Connex on HPE NonStop payment systems.
- Familiarity with ATM and POS device driving card and account authorization services as well as scheme and interchange links.
- Expertise in key management and validation services using HSM technologies (Thales SafeNet Atalla).
- Experience delivering Managed Service best practices based on the ITIL framework.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within the financial services sector particularly with payment processing systems.
- Knowledge of Postilion software and its integration with other financial and payment platforms.
