Reports to: Company Security Manager
Our client is renowned Civil Engineering and Construction Group in Nigeria.
The Company is seeking to hire a seasoned Security expert to serve as a Security Coordinator under the MD s office this role will be solely responsible for the entire security operations in Bayelsa for the company. He will serve as the first point of contact for the facility security matters for the Company in Bayelsa.
Key Responsibilities:
Interface regularly with the resident CLO Security guards and Police team on ground towards
security duties and needs of the project base through the Facility Security Manager.
Provide Security daily situation reports and incident reports to the FSM.
Represent the business in Security issues with community groups as it concerns Bayelsa.
Resume and supervise daily activities of the resident security vendor ensuring guard strength is
adequate while security processes and directives are followed.
Take direct daily and incident reports from the vendors supervisors on ground and report back to the CSM.
Take requests for onsite Security needs and backup from project staff and direct same for ground .
Additionally pass motivation and recommendations through the ranks to the CSM for issues that may require resources to be raised before .
Report security breaches through appropriate channels; observe and report security threats or gaps also through the channels.
Confirm Security inventory and ensure assigned personnel maintain the same weekly.
Actively relate & interface regularly with community youth groups to prevent work interruptions in any guise.
Engage community contacts providing necessary info to prevent and contain external aggression/attack.
Intelligence gathering for management Security advisory through the channels.
Work with the Police team and ensure attendance and work schedules are perfected seamlessly.
Hold regular weekly parade for the guard force to disseminate briefs and integrate their work outputs.
Be available for other Security duty/details that may be shared from time to time due to companys need.
First degree in any Security Management/Social Science discipline.
Must be a Nigerian with Corporate Security experience
Minimum 5 years cognate working experience
Must have the ability to lead and manage a team.
Ability to gather and analyse security information
Determined work ethic and must be seen to be professional at all times (communication and presentation)
Must be computer literate with sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
