Job Description

Database Administrator
Onsite Pretoria
Duration: 12 months
Contract terms: Time & Material
Please indicate your rate per hour / monthly salary requirements.

As a Database Administrator your duties will include ensuring the optimal performance security and reliability of databases across the organization. You will be responsible for installing and configuring database management systems performing regular backups and implementing recovery plans to safeguard data. Monitoring database performance troubleshooting issues and optimising queries for efficiency will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally you will collaborate with developers to design and modify database structures ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business. Your role will also involve managing user access maintaining security protocols and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements. Effective communication with stakeholders and providing training or support to other team members will be crucial to ensure seamless database operations.

Requirements:
5 years working experience.
National Diploma in Information Technology/Information Systems and MySQL Certification.
