Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Lab Technician Hardware to join our hardware team. This role will primarily support cloud hardware lab work involving the of Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) measurements assembly and modification of test equipment and other tasks to ensure optimal performance and validation of data center hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Execute VNA measurements on test boards and engineering validation boards to validate interconnect performance.
- Assemble systems or test fixtures as needed to prepare for measurements.
- Add instrumentation to devices/boards under test to enable highprecision measurements; perform soldering as necessary to prepare boards for measurement.
- Perform tests on data center compute and cooling hardware.
- Assemble and modify existing equipment to meet specific needs and requirements.
- Build test and modify product prototypes using models or simulations.
- Monitor and adjust equipment to ensure conformance with specifications and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware software and overall system requirements.
- Provide training and support to system designers and users.
Qualifications:
- 57 years of experience in hardware testing or related fields.
- Experience with VNA measurements on test boards and validation of interconnect performance.
- Experience working with data center hardware such as servers network switches and power delivery units.
- Proficiency in executing and modifying scripts for computer hardware testing using tools like Python CLI SSH Redfish Postman etc.
- Experience working with UNIX or Linuxbased operating systems.
- Experience in reworking computer circuit boards including soldering components onto printed circuit boards.
- Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes network analyzers power supplies digital voltmeters (DVMs) emulators etc.
- Knowledge of server cooling equipment including air cooling liquid cooling and immersion cooling techniques.
