Overview:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for engaging distributors with highquality services and support to attain their loyalty ensuring optimal distribution activities and driving product placement at retail counters. This role involves supervising sales promoters managing logistics and maintaining competitive pricing through regular feedback from the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide highquality services and support to distributors to build loyalty and become their primary choice.
- Ensure optimal distribution activities from distributor partners.
- Ensure meticulous placement of the product at retail counters with a beat plan.
- Develop strong relationships with retailers and their key staff.
- Collect regular feedback on competitors pricing to maintain competitive store prices.
- Gather feedback suggestions and complaints from the market and present them to management for further action.
- Handle payment collection from the channel.Gather feedback suggestions and complaints from the market and present them to management for further action.Communicate prices discounts and schemes to distributors and retailers in a timely manner.
- Provide assistance to sales promoters and event executives as required.
- Supervise their activities and report on their effectiveness.
- Ensure effective and efficient logistics.
- Motivate and supervise the sales team including those involved in institutional sales.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven experience in sales management or a similar role.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to motivate and supervise a sales team.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Preferably a Master of Business Administration in Marketing Sales and Business Development with at least 5 years of experience.
- At least 3 years of onfield work experience in the packaged rice/FMCG industry is a must.
- Should have a gogetter approach.
- Should have determination towards personal and organizational sales targets.
- Should be polite with a strong focus on the organization s ethics and SOPs.
- Open to learning understanding and should be a team worker.
- Should be young energetic flexible and have the ability to take the organization to new heights.
1. Deep understanding and experience with cereals and Leguminosae as maize, sorghum, rice, and soybean. 2.Agricultural market sales experience (2-3 years) 3.Good presentation skills and fluency in English 4.Deep local and neighborhood countries market understanding
