Job Description

As an Onsite IT/ Desktop Support Team Lead you will ensure and deliver excellent IT services to our client/ end users and execute all assigned IT activities along with the existing team members (5 engineers) located in Japan. As a part of the Local Onsite IT support team you will ensure clients daytoday IT operations and when/ as needed visit different sites within Japan to provide support. You will follow Global IT Operations guidelines ensure compliance and seek improvements whenever feasible.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor the desktop support team
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee desktop infrastructure design deployment and maintenance
  • Technical Support: Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for desktop systems
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement desktop management best practices
  • Security Management: Ensure desktop systems are secure and compliant
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other IT teams for integrated solutions
  • Project Management: Lead desktop infrastructure projects to successful completion
  • Client and Vendor Management: Manage relationships with the client hardware and software vendors
  • Reporting: To management and client as needed


Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in IT Computer Science or related field
  • 8 years in IT infrastructure support and management with 3 years in a leadership/ team management role
  • Expertise in desktop infrastructure (Windows and macOS)
  • Proven desktop support and troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of desktop security and compliance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Problemsolving and analytical abilities
  • Experience in project and vendor management
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus
  • Bilingual of English and Japanese (highbusiness level (N2) with solid experience working in a Japanese speaking work environment)
  • High business proficiency in reading writing/ typing and speaking in both languages
