Job Description

Location: Virtual preferably near a major airport (Needs frequent travel around twice a month)

Position Description

The Vice President of Advancement reports to the President and is responsible for all Revenue

Generating activities necessary to meet the growing mission of The Pocket Testament League.

The Vice President is responsible for first developing and executing a clearly defined revenue

strategy. Second growing the current team to increase the revenue from $4M per year to $25M over the next 58 years.

Company Description

The Pocket Testament League is a global movement of Christ followers who are inviting millions to meet Jesus using a simple repeatable method that works for anyone. Since its inception in 1894 to 2018 over 130 million people had been invited to meet Jesus using Gospels of John. Today acrossmore than 200 countries our 100% remote team of 17 fulltime equivalents had a goal to invite 130 million people to meet Jesus between. Five years into this goal we realize it is too small.

Today we are thinking biggermuch bigger. We advance our mission through an energetic collaborative culture that holds fast to Gods Word and is committed to excellence and innovation until all are invited to meet Jesus. In 2023 14 million people were invited; by 2026 we forecast 30 million.

Outcomes/Accountabilities

A successful Vice President for Advancement will:

Grow The Leagues revenue.

  • Grow the Directors of three teams under your leadership: Stewardship (Major Gifts) Membership (Midsize gifts an Army of people sharing their faith) and Marketing (that supports both Stewardship and Membership).
    This will be accomplished by leading the Directors of three teams to achieve their outcomes:
    Stewardship: leading the Director to build a nationwide team of Major Gift Officers complete with portfolio management and forecasting. The need is to triple the number of households supporting with major gifts
    Membership: leading the Director to build a robust team of Members that either support The League with Midlevel gifts and/or order Gospels to invite people to meet Jesus.
    Marketing: leading the Director to accomplish four strategic objectives: 1. Expansion for support of the mission 2. Raising brand awareness and 3. Growing the community of people who feel a part of something larger.

Philosophy of Stewardship
The Pocket Testament League has an established Philosophy of Stewardship that articulates how we go about engaging donors in support of The League Mission. It is built upon respect for these supporters and with a goal of developing longterm relationships. The philosophy includes the
principle of Stewardship Representatives being able to ask for a gift to sustain and advance the mission of the Pocket Testament League.

Base pay $140k and with $10k bonus
