Datarails is a financial planning and analysis platform that automates financial reporting and planning while enabling finance teams to continue using Excels familiar spreadsheets and financial models.
Datarails applications run thousands of custom data pipelines daily and serve thousands of organizations worldwide.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader with exceptional technical and communication skills to join our team as the R&D Team Lead for the data platform.
This role responsibilities with a focus on building Datarails data platform and maintaining endtoend data pipelines within our nextgeneration infrastructure platform. You will lead a team of data engineers to design and implement a data platform using tools such as dbt Airflow Python Spark and other components of the modern data stack while maintaining high technical standards and performance.

At Datarails youll collaborate with a diverse global team of engineers developers architects customer success and product manager leaders collectively shaping the future of our premier product suite and transforming financial planning and analysis for the future.
What Youll Do:
- Lead a distributed team of 4 data engineers in developing a SaaS data platform.
- Collaborate with product managers and architects to prioritize the team s workload optimize processes and drive team efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership ensuring the team adheres to best practices and maintains the highest quality in code development through handson support and code reviews.
- Oversee the team s performance including planning and quality assurance while setting clear goals objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage and mentor team members fostering their professional growth and career development.
- Drive the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
- Ensure the successful of projects within time constraints while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.

Requirements :
- Over 5 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience as an R&D Team Lead.
- Experience designing and building scalable data platforms in a SaaS company.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and manage distributed crossfunctional R&D teams mentorship skills fostering a collaborative and communicative team environment.
- Handson experience with data extraction transformation manipulation designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines emphasizing monitoring supportability and resource optimization.
- Expertise with data orchestration and workflow tools (Apache Airflow Dagster etc).
- Ability to document and explain technical processes in a clear and concise manner to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices DevOps (CI/CD) and version control.
- Experience working with offshore teams.
- Experience designing and building scalable systems in a SaaS company using cloud architecture.
