As a SeniorAcquisition Executive you will be at the forefront of curating premium content that defines our platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape platforms content strategy by identifying negotiating and securing toptier content that resonates with our audience.
Role description:
- Responsible for acquiring content for all of the company assets;
- Responsible for following the acquisition strategy on the content for the platform asProgramming Director and Head of Acquisition direction;
- Responsible for respecting the acquisition budget based on the needs;
- Responsible for informing the Head of Acquisition and Programming Director whenever asituation involving the library of the channels appears (not enough content technical and quality problems with the programs etc);
- Responsible for establishing contact and maintaining relations with content distributors;
- Responsible for negotiating with third parties the best conditions for the company based onthe mandate received from the Head of Acquisition and Programming Director;
- Analyze rights information current trends competitor analysis and market
intelligence to play a key role in providing insight into the team to support acquisition
strategies; - Work with the Acquisition team to ensure a smooth running of the department
including coordination of information between the acquisition department and other
departments (Digital Finance etc). - Prepares the commitment budgets for the platform events and ensures that thebudget is respected;
- Participates in all stages of the acquisition process together with the Head of Acquisitionor alone whenever gets approval to do so;
- Prepares financial analysis together with the finance department;
- Prepares buying offers;
- Gives input on the contracts (works with the legal department);
- Knows in detail the platform strategy channel schedules and their
programming needs and makes suggestions for acquisitions; - Has a clear image of the existing library for the platform events;
- Knows in detail the Companys policy in terms of amortization and financial behavior;
- Represent the Company in front of external distributors. Participates whenever necessaryto meetings events and specialized fares;
- Supervises the way the contracts are implemented by the different departments of thestations.
Qualifications:
- University degree;
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in Television/ Aquisition/ Mediafield area is a plus;
- Experience of working with both creative and commercial contacts at different levels;
- Understanding of digital platforms and their corresponding rights;
- Understanding of linear and nonlinear rights within the media landscape;
- A strong interest in TV and digital media;
- Sports understanding and connections in different sports federations represent anadvantage;
- Experience working across rights management systems;
- Comfortable working with and communicating with multiple departments;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Specific TV acquisition software (MIS);
- Passionate about sports which represents an advantage;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Detailedoriented organized and persistent;
- Capacity to work under stress and under time pressure;
- Advanced English.
