We are looking for you to join our tech team in Berlin. 1KOMMA5 is creating Germanys largest onestopshop for the sale installation and servicing of solar panels heat pumps electricity solutions and charging infrastructure. And the best part They are all interconnected! One of our key tech products our energy manager Heartbeat is central to our mission. It enhances the user experience through our app and ensures the cheapest and cleanest energy for our customers. Additionally it serves as a core component of our vision to build a virtual power plant.

Deine Position

As part of a crossfunctional team in the B2C domain youll play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and product development efforts. Youll help maintain and optimise our lab environment where we test and integrate solar battery heat pump and EV charging solutions. Working closely with experienced engineers youll gain handson experience with hardware testing system simulations and realtime data analysis.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the design assembly and maintenance of test benches for various lab experiments and product evaluations.
  • Conduct handson testing using existing test benches ensuring accurate data collection and proper operation of equipment.
  • Document test results preparing clear and concise reports to support research and development processes.

Dein Profil

You have:

  • You are enrolled in a university and can commit 20 hours per week.
  • You are studying a relevant degree program (e.g. Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science).
  • Handson experience in assembling electrical boards and building circuits with a strong technical understanding.
  • Basic knowledge of hardware and software testing processes and equipment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive problemsolving attitude and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in developing and programming embedded systems using Python.
  • Experience with IoT devices renewable energy systems or power electronics.
  • Basic knowledge of energy systems like solar batteries or EV charging.
  • Familiarity with lab testing tools and environments.
