They are now seeking an experienced CFO / Controller to join their growing team and drive financial excellence across their organization.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a CPA with at least 10 years of postqualification experience who is eager to take on a leadership role in managing and optimizing the financial operations of our client. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting functions including the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements and reports to senior management and ownership.
- Provide support to senior management and department heads ensuring smooth daytoday company operations.
- Lead and manage all financial and accounting processes ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Assess the integrity of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve financial controls.
- Evaluate implement and enforce best practices in financial management and internal controls.
- Work crossfunctionally with various departments to support companywide goals.
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings and payments.
- Prepare annual working papers and liaise with external accountants for yearend processes.
- Communicate with government departments to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation with a minimum of 10 years of postqualification experience. *Canadian CPA and Canadian experience are required.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of guiding teams and streamlining financial operations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound financial decisions based on data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in both English and French (MUST be bilingual).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office products particularly Excel.
- Experience in the fuel industry will be considered an asset.
