Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce compliance with local provincial and federal environmental regulations and standards.
  
• Conduct inspections and audits of facilities and operations to assess adherence to environmental laws and regulations.
  
• Review and analyze environmental impact assessments reports and permit applications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  
• Provide guidance and support to organizations and stakeholders on environmental regulations best practices and compliance strategies.
  
• Investigate and respond to environmental complaints and violations taking appropriate enforcement actions as needed.
  
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation related to inspections compliance and enforcement activities.
  
• Collaborate with other regulatory agencies environmental organizations and community groups to address environmental issues and promote sustainability.
  
• Stay updated on changes in environmental regulations industry trends and best practices to ensure effective compliance and enforcement.
  

Requirements

• Relevant certification or diploma in Environmental Science Environmental Management or a related field.
  
• Proven experience as an environmental compliance officer environmental inspector or in a similar role with a strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
  
• Excellent analytical skills for assessing environmental practices and identifying compliance issues.
  
• Strong communication skills for interacting with organizations regulatory agencies and the public.
  
• Detailoriented with strong organizational skills for managing inspections reports and compliance records.
  
• Ability to stay current with evolving environmental regulations industry practices and sustainability initiatives.
