We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer/Coordinator to lead mine rescue operations and ensure the highest standards of safety for a prominent project in Saskatchewan. Key Responsibilities:
As a Safety Officer/Coordinator with Haztech you will:
- Lead and participate in mine rescue activities ensuring all safety protocols are met.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop response strategies for emergency situations.
- Oversee daily safety operations including inspections drills and training programs.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Record and communicate all safety and incident data to continuously improve safety practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven mine rescue leadership experience.
- Certified in Mine Rescue and licensed with relevant safety credentials in Saskatchewan.
- Current CPR/First Aid and additional safety certifications relevant to the mining industry.
- 2 years of experience in a safety officer or coordinator role ideally in mining or resource industries.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Selfmotivated and adaptable team player committed to fostering a safe working environment.
