The CSPD Interim Manager will coordinate and monitor all sterile processing and distribution functions such as decontamination preparation/packaging sterilization of surgical instruments and case carts. Responsible for the supervision of all Central Sterile Supply activities staff scheduling shift management and the coordination of surgical instruments and supplies to the OR and ancillary departments.
The primary mission is to build a cohesive team improve existing processes and customer satisfaction. The CSPD Interim Manager will identify improvement opportunities in organizational structure business procedures and staff education that can provide operational financial and quality improvements to Sterile Processing. The Interim Manager will work with the Administration and the Sterile Processing Management team(s) to implement improvement opportunities. The CSPD Interim Manager will be a working manager and will report to the designated facility Director(s) while working cohesively with the SPD staff.

Monitor audit and enhance the quality of the process and products manufactured or rendered to customers by the department.

Utilize time effectively and manages to complete assignments within the allotted time.

Visible presence in the OR; troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Human Resource Management
Measure departmental workload statistics to determine efficient scheduling practices

Manage department budget and overtime.
Manage departmental reports (weekly monthly and annual).
Communicate barriers that will interfere with daily operations to appropriate parties.
Generate and interpret statistical productivity and quality performance reports. Utilizes data to improve performance
Facilitate the recruitment and selection of department staff.
Ensures comprehensive departmental orientation for new staff.
Coordinate training and competency validation for all departmental staff.

Work closely with SIPS Administrative Team to ensure project timelines are on target.

Minimum Acceptable Training and Experience:
Associate s degree required. Bachelor s Degree preferred
Minimal 7 years of experience in an acute or ambulatory sterile processing department.
Minimum of 5 Years of SPD leadership experience.
Current Sterile Processing Technician certification
