As an ISSO you will be instrumental in strengthening the cybersecurity defenses of an enterprise infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include capturing refining and integrating security requirements into technology systems identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring adherence to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) protocols. Your efforts will be critical in maintaining and advancing the security of Department of Defense (DoD) systems with a focus on proactive cybersecurity measures and continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to resolve identified security findings.
- Implement cybersecurity guidelines controls and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for new enterprise infrastructure components.
- Ensure that all configuration changes are fully compliant with cybersecurity protocols and approved by the appropriate security authorities.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) patch management and RMF guidelines.
- Provide support for the DoD RMF process including updates and assistance with the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
- Offer technical expertise to uphold and enhance cybersecurity standards across the JCSE enterprise infrastructure.
- Collaborate with external agencies to resolve security issues handle waiver requests and obtain necessary approvals for system connections.
Requirements
Work Schedule: 100% Onsite
Education: Bachelor s degree and 4 years of relevant experience. Specific experience education and training may be considered in lieu of a degree
Top Secret / SCI clearance.
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (CISSP CASP CE CCNP Security CISA GCED GCIH CCSP etc.).
CISSP preferred.
