We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for a client of ours in the frozen food and dairy industry. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of safety quality and operational efficiency in a fastpaced production environment. As the Quality Assurance Manager you will oversee the QA team sanitation and housekeeping operations ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and certifications. The client is offering an salary that goes up to $135000 with bonuses along with a $10k relocation package.
Key Responsibilities:
Safeguard consumer and employee safety while upholding brand integrity.
Manage and enforce Food Safety Plans and allergen control programs.
Lead the SQF certification process and maintain compliance with all related standards.
Supervise the quality sanitation and housekeeping teams managing around 14 staff including 3 direct reports.
Serve as the Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) responsible for enhancing and maintaining food safety plans and programs.
Collaborate with thirdparty auditors USDA Kosher Organic certifiers and regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with food safety audits and maintain certifications such as SQF Organic Kosher and FDA.
Track and analyze environmental monitoring data product quality metrics CAPAs and other qualityrelated data to drive continuous improvement in production sanitation and supply chain processes.
Work closely with the maintenance team to improve the sanitary design of processing equipment.
Lead and develop the QA team focusing on engagement and recruitment.
Collaborate with management and sales to develop and implement new product concepts.
Oversee the generation and finalization of nutritional and labeling information.
Work with thirdparty retailers and copackers to produce their products at our facility.
Maintain a clean safe working environment in compliance with all safety protocols.
Contribute to team efforts and crossfunctional collaboration to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree in biology chemistry microbiology food technology or a related field.
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (30 F to 45 F) for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong teamwork communication and leadership skills.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of experience as a QA Manager in a food manufacturing environment.
At least 8 years of experience working within food production.
