Job Description

For our location in Freiburg im Breisgau we at NexWafe are looking for Team Lead Mechanical Design Engineering (f/m/d).

At NexWafe we are developing a pioneering process to produce silicon wafers with fewer process steps resulting in significant savings in production costs energy consumption and CO emissions. As a Team Lead Mechanical Design Engineering (f/m/d) you have the unique opportunity to actively contribute to the commercialisation of this breakthrough technology. Tasks

  • Coordinate and prioritize engineering activates lead design reviews report to upper management.
  • Leading innovative 3D/2D design concepts and creating precise manufacturing drawings.
  • Collaborating closely with suppliers and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable designs.
  • Managing the testing commissioning and assembly of equipment ensuring operational excellence.
  • Driving continuous improvement by optimizing existing plants and evaluating new equipment.
  • Applying material science knowledge for hightemperature caustic applications to select proper design materials and provide useful input in design reviews and team collaboration.
  • Proactively managing supplier relationships and overseeing technical specifications for procurement.
  • Utilizing advanced CAD skills and supporting the development of digital manufacturing documents.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong group leader skills
  • Graphite vacuum furnace experience
  • Large system design and integration experience
  • Work closely with supply chain
  • Over 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English.
  • Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite
