Industrial Electrician Underground
Gouverneur NY
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
The client is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role ofIndustrial Electricianat itsundergroundzinc operation. This position is based at the Empire State Mine site in northern New York State and the candidate would need to relocate to work 510hour shifts with 2 days off per week.
- Short commute 10 miles from Gouverneur and 3040 miles from Watertown and college towns of Canton and Potsdam.

Responsibilities:
- Run cable/wire/communication.
- Mount Jboxes control boxes switches boxes mechanical installation.
- Read and follow prints.
- Test/troubleshoot circuits motors fans controller VFDs transformers.
- Complete all terminations and splicing incl. high voltage splices.
- Capacity to develop knowledge of hoisting/crushing operations troubleshoot same.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
- Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his/her duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must be able to perform the work without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others due to the safety sensitivity of tasks.
