Job Description

Job Title: Payroll Coordinator
Location: Geneva NY

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our healthcare network. This role involves processing biweekly payroll ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and supporting payrollrelated activities. Youll work within the Fiscal Services department and report directly to the Controller contributing to a dynamic team and ensuring payroll processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly payroll following established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of payroll regulatory reports including quarterly 941s W2 processing and federal/state filings.
  • Serve as the lead contact for payroll system maintenance upgrades and testing.
  • Actively participate in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) team to support system development.
  • Maintain payroll data elements including income deduction codes and general ledger coding.
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations and electronically transmit federal and state taxes.
  • Support management with custom query reports and data analysis for decisionmaking.
  • Collaborate on internal and external audit requirements providing payrollrelated documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Minimum: Associate s Degree in Business or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4 years of computerized payroll experience with a strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations.
    • Experience in general accounting and payroll software applications (Ultipro experience preferred).
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage confidential information and meet deadlines.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and general ledger systems (Lawson preferred).
