Job Description
Role Overview:
As a key contributor you will independently manage the design and development of innovative electronic products from initial concept through to production release. This includes improving existing designs and ensuring the successful completion of all stages of product development: design testing documentation and qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of new product designs and improvements to existing products ensuring they align with company strategy and product requirements.
- Manage product development timelines external resource coordination and ensure adherence to cost quality and delivery targets.
- Design and fabricate prototypes evaluate performance and troubleshoot design challenges to provide costeffective solutions.
- Develop and maintain product specifications test methods and documentation to ensure products meet required standards.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies field tests and competitive analysis to verify design performance.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for electrical/electronic design issues throughout development and after production starts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure successful product development focusing on tooling processes and capacity planning.
- Manage projects from concept through completion ensuring all targets for timeline budget and quality are met.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) Electronics Engineering (BSET) or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in R&D electrical design within consumer product development.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Expertise in fixedpoint arithmetic programming phased array and beamforming algorithms and acoustic/sonar systems.
- Handson experience in developing phased array multibeam sonar systems.
- Strong understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts and algorithms.
- Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL for signal processing in FPGAs.
- Solid programming experience in C/C and MATLAB.
- Experience with embedded systems design programming and debugging especially in analog sensor instrumentation.
- Advanced knowledge of electronic/electrical circuit design testing and schematic interpretation.
- Proven ability to manage complex product development from concept to production.
- Strong analytical skills creativity and technical expertise.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in computerbased analysis simulation and design tools.
