Job Description
Overview:
The SAP BASIS HANA Consultant plays a crucial role in the organizations SAP landscape ensuring the overall stability performance and integrity of the system. This role is essential for maintaining the SAP infrastructure and enabling seamless system operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain SAP systems including HANA databases.
- Manage system performance and efficiency through tuning and optimization.
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect SAP systems and data.
- Coordinate with functional teams to support SAP application deployments and upgrades.
- Perform system upgrades and patches in accordance with best practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users and resolve userreported issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams on system integration and interface management.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and for SAP systems.
- Lead and participate in system performance testing and tuning activities.
- Conduct system health checks and apply proactive maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools within the SAP environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of SAP system processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration with a focus on HANA databases.
- Proficiency in SAP HANA database administration and performance optimization.
- Experience in SAP system installations upgrades and patching.
- Strong understanding of SAP system monitoring and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of SAP security best practices and implementation.
- Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and communicate effectively.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and for SAP systems.
- Knowledge of SAP system integration and interface management.
- Certifications in SAP BASIS and HANA administration are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of SAP cloud platforms and technologies is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager is preferred.
