Summary:
The Sr. Director of New Product Development is responsible for leading new product development initiatives to ensure successful planning and delivery. The role requires a combination of leadership strategic planning and project management skills. The successful candidate will be adept at balancing multiple priorities navigating complex challenges and steering programs to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the strategic vision for NPD across the North America business units. This includes understanding and aligning with the overall BU strategies and developing a strong product pipeline and a portfolio of products that are differentiated and provide competitive advantage for the company.
- Drive innovation across the domestic BUs. This involves staying ahead of market trends understanding consumer / user needs and leading the team in the creation of innovative design solutions that meet market demands and enhance user experiences.
- Oversee the product development process from ideation to commercialization coordinating with internal stakeholders such as engineering sales marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth of projects
- Utilizing a Customer Centric CoDevelopment Approach work closely with strategic customers to incorporate their insights and research into the design process to ensure products meet their needs and expectations.
- Lead the endtoend product development process from ideation and concept validation to design development and market launch.
- Apply and maintain a process to manage the product development programs and projects including a stagegate review process to ensure attainment of key milestones and adherence to product briefs timelines and budgets.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including product management sales operations and engineering to drive innovation and deliver exceptional products that enhance customer satisfaction and support the company s growth.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to track the progress and success of new product initiatives making datadriven adjustments as necessary.
- Utilize common PMO processes tools and project governance to be leveraged across all NA projects.
- Develop and promote a culture of agility curiosity and creativity.

What You Need To Succeed:
- Bachelors degree with 1015 years of product development experience including 5 years in leadership.
- Proven track record in leading NPD initiatives from concept to commercialization.
- Strong strategic vision with the ability to align product development with business objectives.
- Expertise in driving innovation and anticipating market trends and customer needs.
- Leadership experience managing crossfunctional teams.
- Skilled in managing product development processes including stagegate reviews and PMO tools.
- Customercentric approach collaborating with strategic customers to inform product design.
- Strong analytical skills with experience tracking KPIs and using data for decisionmaking.
- Ability to foster a culture of agility creativity and continuous improvement.
