Job Description

One of our clients in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking a Project Manager Blasting and Painting.

Job Purpose: The Project Manager Blasting and Painting is responsible for the control and administration of elements relating to the project for the Blasting and Painting Facility ensuring that it is implemented according to design specifications standards Company Policy and Quality Management system.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the Commissioning Managers/Project Engineers daily operations and the implementation of safety efficiency planning and continuous improvement strategy.
  • Ensure all elements relating to the project (Engineering Planning and Scheduling Commissioning Budgets) are maintained and updated as per the project reporting criteria.
  • Prepare and deliver reports/presentations for capital projects manager as required.
  • Mentor the project engineers providing leadership and guidance to resolve identified operational issues.
  • Liaise with Government Bodies EPC Contractors and OEMs as required maintaining professional and harmonious lines of communications.
  • Evaluate technical and operational recommendations (Robotics) and manage the change according to guidelines and parameters set by Executive Management.
  • Work closely with HSE to engineer out potential hazards to provide a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Communicate and negotiate with a wide range of project stakeholders.
  • Closely analyze and monitor the capital project expenditure in accordance with approved budget.
  • Supervise documentation and certification requirements during project and ensure the process is in accordance with our clients document control policy and procedure.
  • Utilize knowledge of asset management standards ISO 55000/1/2 and implement during project phase as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Electrical Marine Engineer or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of industry experience with 5 to 8 years of experience in Project Management role (Manager or Engineer) in shipbuilding oil and gas or equivalent industry.
  • Welldeveloped presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage large multi disciplinary teams across the board across a broad range of technologies.
  • Understanding of Asset Management/ERP systems and ISO standards.
  • Computer proficient in Word excel PowerPoint project.
  • Experience in working with diverse cultures.
