Job description
As a Financial Controller you are responsible for the timeliness accuracy and completeness of the financial results within your management unit. You know the right accounting procedures ensure continuous process improvements and support the transition to the new financial system. In collaboration with project control and business control you will support the services (Bachelor College/Graduate School) and Institutes within the institution with clear financial insights and sound procedures. Within the Finance & Control (F&C) team you will report to the business control & reporting manager and work together with project administration and business controllers. You are the face of Finance within the services and make an important contribution to the further professionalism of the department.
You will provide sound and reliable financial figures that serve as a solid basis for decisionmaking.
You perform numerical analyses and provide actionable (financial) insights to your stakeholders.
You contribute to a smooth budget process and ensure supported forecasts.
You collect input for the closing process and ensure the correct registration of approval flows.
You standardize processes and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
You contribute to the Risk and Control framework and carry out secondline audits.
You will work closely with colleagues within Finance & Control to further professionalize the department as a whole.

Job requirements
You have a HBO/WO education in a financial field.
You have 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience as a (junior) controller. Affinity with higher education and projects is an advantage.
You are analytically strong and solutionoriented.
You are accurate and are used to working in detail.
You quickly build a network and easily connect with colleagues by listening and by being critical.
You are digitally skilled you have the necessary experience in Excel (and financial systems).

A monthly salary for fulltime employment
