Position Overview: The Associate Cyber Risk Analyst will assist in identifying assessing and managing cybersecurity risks across the organization. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for cybersecurity and a desire to grow their expertise in risk analysis and management.
Key Responsibilities: - Risk Assessment: Assist in evaluating cybersecurity threats vulnerabilities and risks to the organizations information systems and data.
- Incident Analysis: Support the investigation of security incidents and breaches including gathering and analyzing data and preparing reports on findings.
- Policy and Compliance: Help ensure that security policies and procedures are followed and assist in maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g. GDPR CCPA).
- Monitoring: Assist in monitoring security systems and tools for signs of potential threats or anomalies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present risk analysis reports status updates and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work with IT and other departments to address and mitigate identified risks and vulnerabilities.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends threats and best practices to effectively contribute to the organizations risk management strategies.
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 12 years of experience in cybersecurity IT risk management or a related role is preferred. Relevant internships or academic projects will also be considered.
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts risk assessment methodologies and threat landscape.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g. firewalls intrusion detection systems).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security CISSP (Associate) or equivalent are a plus but not required.
