The role of a Manual Tester is crucial in ensuring the quality and functionality of software products through meticulous testing processes. Manual Testers play a key role in identifying and reporting bugs and defects ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications
- Execute test cases and analyze results
- Identify and document bugs and glitches
- Perform thorough regression testing
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Track quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay uptodate with new testing tools and test strategies
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Proven experience as a Manual Tester or similar role
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Handson experience with automated testing tools
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and problemsolving abilities
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
