Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Administrator to manage and maintain our organizations cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying configuring and supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud solutions ensuring optimal performance security and cost efficiency. The AWS Cloud Administrator will collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure seamless operations scalability and compliance with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer AWS cloud environments including EC2 S3 RDS VPC IAM and other AWS services.
- Deploy configure and monitor cloud infrastructure resources to ensure high availability scalability and performance.
- Implement and manage security policies access controls and encryption standards to protect cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud systems and services to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues before they impact operations.
- Automate routine cloud operations using tools such as AWS Lambda CloudFormation and other infrastructureascode (IaC) solutions.
- Perform routine backup and recovery procedures for cloud resources ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with development teams to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and cloudbased applications.
- Conduct cost analysis and optimize cloud resources to manage expenses effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure networking and storage.
- Keep uptodate with the latest AWS services and best practices providing recommendations for system improvements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies security standards and industry regulations.
- Assist in designing and implementing new cloudbased solutions and services as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience in cloud administration with at least 2 years of handson experience in AWS environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2 S3 RDS IAM VPC CloudWatch Lambda and others.
- Experience with automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation Terraform or Ansible.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems in a cloud environment.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (DNS TCP/IP VPNs security groups firewalls).
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with cloud security practices including IAM encryption and multifactor authentication (MFA).
- Strong problemsolving troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- AWS Certified Developer
