Job Description
Job Summary:
We looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at our underground zinc mining operation located in northern New York State. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems in an underground mining environment ensuring safe and efficient operations. This position requires relocation to the local area and involves working 5 shifts of 10 hours each with 2 days off per week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and run cable wire and communication lines in an underground mining environment.
- Perform mechanical installations including mounting junction boxes (Jboxes) control boxes and switch boxes.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to carry out installations and repairs.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits motors fans controllers Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and transformers.
- Perform all electrical terminations and splicing including highvoltage splicing.
- Develop a working knowledge of hoisting and crushing operations and provide troubleshooting support for these systems.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
- Must be able to work safely without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others given the safetysensitive nature of the tasks.
