Job Description
Overview
The SAS Developer plays a critical role in the organization by designing developing and implementing SAS applications to support data analysis and reporting needs. This role is essential in ensuring efficient data management and highquality analytical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop SAS applications and solutions to meet business requirements
- Create and maintain ETL processes for data extraction transformation and loading
- Perform data analysis and provide insights through reports and visualizations
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and understand data requirements
- Optimize and tune SAS programs for performance and scalability
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure application reliability
- Develop and maintain data models and structures for efficient data storage
- Document technical specifications and user guides for SAS applications
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data management processes and standards
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience in SAS programming and application development
- Strong proficiency in ETL processes and tools
- Expertise in SQL for data manipulation and retrieval
- Solid understanding of data analysis and visualization techniques
- Experience in data modeling and database design
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare finance or related industry domains is a plus
