Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and resultsdriven Store Manager to oversee the daytoday operations of our footwear retail store. The Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring the store meets or exceeds sales targets maintains operational standards and delivers excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in retail management particularly in footwear and can lead a team to success through effective leadership and motivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Performance Management:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rate average transaction value (ATV) and units per transaction (UPT).
- Monitor store performance and identify areas for improvement adjusting strategies as needed.
- Analyze sales reports to maximize profitability and identify trends.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and ensuring team members are trained in product knowledge and customer engagement.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee stock levels conduct inventory audits and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Coordinate with the inventory team to manage replenishments and optimize stock availability.
- Minimize shrinkage and manage stock losses effectively.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit hire train and develop store staff ensuring that all team members are aligned with company values and sales goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews set individual and team goals and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
- Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure the store is visually appealing and consistent with brand standards through proper merchandising and layout.
- Coordinate product displays to promote bestsellers and seasonal items.
- Operational Excellence:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness organization and safety in the store.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including health and safety guidelines.
- Manage store opening and closing procedures including cash management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a footwear retail environment.
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs and sales performance strategies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and develop a team to achieve sales goals.
- Proficient in inventory management and loss prevention.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising and store layout strategies.
- Proficient in using retail management software and POS systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with highend or premium footwear brands.
- Knowledge of current fashion trends in footwear.
- Familiarity with local market dynamics and customer preferences.
