Backend Engineer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing efficient secure and scalable backend services and APIs
• Designing and optimizing database structures and queries for maximum performance
• Collaborating with frontend developers product managers and other stakeholders to deliver highquality features
• Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities
• Writing unit tests and participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and improve overall system architecture
• Deploying and maintaining backend services in cloud environments
• Utilizing microservices architecture and integrating with thirdparty platforms and services
• Participating in Agile development processes sprint planning and retrospectives
• Troubleshooting and debugging production issues in a timely manner
• Contributing to technical documentation and knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in backend development using languages such as Golang Python or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of database management systems including SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices design patterns and architectural principles
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and use related tools like Jira and Confluence
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of security principles and practices in backend development
• Excellent problemsolving and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
