Job Description
This role is for one of the Weekdays clients
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js JavaScript and familiarity with DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining efficient reusable and reliable backend services that power our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with the frontend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and smooth deployment of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and JavaScript.
- Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with various thirdparty services.
- Optimize the performance scalability and reliability of backend services.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including frontend DevOps and QA for seamless integration.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain highquality standards.
- Troubleshoot debug and resolve production issues.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Stay updated with the latest backend and DevOps technologies and methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js and JavaScript.
- Handson experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines version control (Git) and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud services like AWS Azure or GCP.
- Strong problemsolving and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL MongoDB or MySQL.
- Experience with automation tools and testing frameworks is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with serverless computing and eventdriven systems.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Ansible.
