Job Description
garment general manager is responsible for the overall operations of a garment factory including production quality and safety:
Production: Ensure the factory runs smoothly and profitably and that production targets are met on time within budget and to quality standards
Quality: Work with the quality assurance department to ensure that garments meet buyer specifications and quality standards
Safety: Set clear goals for safety and ensure that safety is a priority
Planning: Review and create production material and machinery plans and ensure that they are executed
Coordination: Coordinate with various departments including marketing merchandising production and quality assurance
Communication: Maintain effective communication with all relevant departments
Staff management: Evaluate staff performance disciplinary matters training needs and career development
Compliance: Ensure that the factory is compliant with all relevant standards
Some skills and experience that are helpful for a garment general manager include:
Experience in the garments or textiles industry
Experience in planning and budgeting
Knowledge of business processes and functions
Strong analytical ability
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Problemsolving aptitude
