Senior GL Accountants with English - based in Prague

Our client is a multinational company with a big regional finance hub in Prague. We are searching for more senior GL accountants (5 years plus GL experience) for different European regions. The position is to perform all accounting activities across the selected entities including monthend close preparation and reporting tax declarations review audits supporting etc.

Tasks

• Perform the endtoend activities in A2R processes in accordance with corporate policies US GAAP and local statutory requirements
• Understand the balance sheet & income statement impacts of every transaction to challenge or propose material accounting judgmental entries when relevant
• Develop expertise to provide guidance across the assigned A2R area
• Responsible for adjustments and resolving problems within company guidelines
• Account reconciliations for assigned areas of responsibilities
• Provide cover for other accounting functions as requested
• Key user for specific finance systems including maintenance of respective approval matrix training and support of department users and documentation
• Support on internal and external Audits including SOX Testing and internal controls
• Ensure documentation (Guidelines Manuals) are complete and uptodate etc.

Requirements

• approximatelly 5 years experience in GL of a multinational corporation or global accounting firm
• Degree in finance or accounting
• Knowledge of US GAAP is a big plus
• Understanding of statutory accounting
• Fluency in English
• Experience with SAP or Oracle and HFM knowledge are a plus
