Package Lead: Concentrator Mining Northern Cape
Our client an international Mining company is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Package Lead: Concentrator to oversee and optimize the concentrator operations at their mining site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mineral processing leadership skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the concentrator plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the concentrator team ensuring all operations are conducted in compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the concentrator processes to maximize efficiency throughput and recovery rates. Implement improvements and troubleshooting strategies as necessary.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the concentrator operations. Analyze data to identify trends issues and opportunities for enhancement.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the team.
- Prepare and present regular reports on concentrator performance operational issues and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Oversee the allocation of resources including personnel materials and equipment to ensure efficient operation and adherence to budget constraints.
- Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mineral Processing Chemical Engineering Metallurgy or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 12 years of experience in mineral processing or a related field with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of concentrator processes equipment and technologies.
- Experience with process control systems and data analysis tools is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead motivate and manage a team effectively. Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving skills.
- Indepth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a mining environment.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic fastpaced environment and adapt to changing conditions and priorities.
