Job Description
One of our international clients is currently seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Technicians to join their team. This role involves providing superior support both in the field and onsite ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and with the highest level of integrity. Experience with Caterpillar (CAT) equipment is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field & OnSite Support: Deliver expert service and repairs for heavy equipment maintaining high standards of quality and timely completion.
- Diagnostics: Utilize Caterpillar testing equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical issues.
- Repair Work: Perform repairs and maintenance on Caterpillar equipment in line with established time standards.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed and accurate service and repair reports promptly.
- Customer Relations: Foster strong relationships with customers through regular onsite visits and clear communication.
Experience and Education Required:
- Relevant diploma and/or equivalent technical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in the repair and service of heavy equipment both in the shop and in the field.
- Basic knowledge of cutting welding and fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret prints drawings and technical bulletins.
- Strong analytical skills with a sound understanding of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Demonstrated ability to complete repairs and service within established time guidelines in a busy fastpaced environment.
- Selfdirected team player with strong initiative business acumen and integrity.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with CAT systems (ET and SIS preferred).
